on the East side of mobile bay
Bayfront Park | Wind: S, SW, W, NW | Flat water
6200 Bayfront Park Dr, Daphne, AL 36526This spot is a hidden gem. Park and look for the gazebo, to its left, you will see a boardwalk that ventures into the forest, walk on it and keep on your right, eventually you will have to turn right and you will see the beach. Plenty of space to launch.
North Beach Park | Wind: SW, W, NW, N | Light choppy water4 N Beach Rd, Fairhope, AL 36532We love this spot because the park is beautiful, the beach is right next to the parking spaces, so no walking. Watch out for the posts in the water, they are there to prevent boats coming to close to the shore.
On the west side of Mobile Bay
Isle Dauphine Golf Club | Wind: E, SE, S, SW, W | Super flat water
100 Orleans Dr, Dauphin Island, AL 36528
Love this little beach, it is almost like a lagoon with a little outlet to the ocean so you can be safe inside or have your fun in the waves on the gulf side. Enter to the golf course, park by Pirates Bar and Grill (we love this place for after kite lunch/dinner) and you will see the little boardwalk that leads you to the beach. It can get crowded in the summer weekends.
